SAVE THE DATE!  JANUARY 22, 2026.  AFIT WINTER SEMINAR

Why YOU should attend this AFIT Summer Tax Seminar:

  • Timely Topics presented by knowledgeable practitioners.
  • In-depth look at compliance (Collections) functions at AZ DOR..
  • Mid-year Federal Tax Update with Ed Zollars, CPA.  This is always a favorite.  Ed will review key tax legislation changes, IRS Regulations and Announcements, and important Court decisions.   AND, since the One Big Beautiful Bill is looming large these days, Ed will review key elements of the bill that may be enacted by July 31, or will still be a hot topic of discussion.
  • Another Ethical Minefield:  Disclosure.  With remote workers, outsourcing of tax return preparation to other countries and the multitude of issues with aging clients and their missing tax documents, how do you deal with this need for oversight, coordination and better communication?  1 HOUR OF ETHICS CPE!
  • An attempt to assess what is happening at IRS, and its likely impact on IRS operations and the associated effects on taxpayers and tax professionals.
  • Reevaluating Representation:  Using a correspondence audit scenario, we will discuss what additional efforts might be required to better ensure favorable client outcomes as IRS relies more heavily on impersonal correspondence audit techniques.
  • Late-in-Life Marriages:  A look at the “things” people may bring to a late-in-life marriage, and the tax consequences that may ensue.
  • Downloadable course materials:  AFIT will make available downloadable seminar materials for ALL technical topics to save on your laptop, tablet or similar device.  You may print the materials for your future reference.
  • Desert Willow Conference Center is a clean, modern facility with excellent, healthy food choices, and safe, convenient and free parking. Meals and breaks are included in the registration fee.
  • AFIT seminars provide high-quality tax education in a professional setting.
  • Attendees will have an excellent opportunity for networking.
  •   GREAT CPE VALUE – 8 hours of high level CPE for less than $35 per hour.  AND, easy online registration.
